Golden Girls star Betty White dies aged 99, days before her 100th birthday
Famous American actress Betty White, 99, died at her home in Los Angeles on Friday morning, according to the Daily Mail.
The Golden Girls star, who was born in 1922, was due to celebrate her 100th birthday on January 17 this year.
According to a statement to People magazine, her agent Jeff Whitgas said, "Although Betty was about to turn 100, I thought she would live forever".
'I don't think Betty was ever afraid of death,' Whitgas added, 'because she had always wanted to be with her beloved husband, Elaine Lowden.
White was born in Oak Park, Illinois, on January 17, 1922. Her mother was a homemaker, and her father was an electrical company executive.
